Made with fiber from Deep Creek Yarns, our natural plant-dyed handwoven rugs and saddle blankets are inspired by the vistas and hues of Surprise Valley, California.
Deep Creek Yarns feature wool from local Navajo Churro Sheep is spun on a turn of the century 'Spinning Mule” processed without harsh chemicals. The Navajo Churro, brought to the Americas in 1540, have adapted well to the high elevation and cold winters and grow a superior quality wool. Multi shades of blacks, grays and browns are their natural colors, and the fibers color beautifully in natural plant dyes.
